Why?
Foundational ontologies are essential for tackling interoperability problems of systems and software. However, the comparison of different foundational ontologies is itself an interoperability problem.
Goals
The FOUST project aims at:
- Collecting foundational ontologies
- Comparing foundational ontology
- Publishing authorised copies of formal versions of the ontologies in a common curated digital library
